New Art Show & Reception, Saturday, Nov. 18th

The Quarryville Library Art Committee will host a reception for artists Brent Rakus and Jeffrey Fisher from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, in the CX Carlson room at the Quarryville Library.

Rakus, a Chester County native, works primarily with metal, a medium he’s been exploring since age 12. He is a graduate of West Chester University and was featured in the university’s Senior Art Exhibit where he won first place.

Fisher first began drawing in his twenties and favors beach landscapes and sunsets. He was self-taught when starting out, but soon after began taking lessons from a friend. He uses graphite, charcoal and colored pencils in his work.

Both artists’ work will be on display at the Library through January.
