The Quarryville Library will be hosting Artist, George F. Chapman, Jr.
The show will be available to view in the Quarryville Library Carlson Room from May 4, 2019 through June 11, 2019 during library hours. You may call 717-786-1336 for our hours or go to www.quarryvillelibrary.org. The Artist Reception will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 1:00pm-3:00pm at the library.
George F. Chapman, Jr., Artist, states that his art is a reflection of his lifelong relationship and commitment to nature and conservation. His greatest joy is to share Mother Nature Beauty and its diverse seasons in a joyful and peaceful rendition. Mr. Chapman states that 95% of his work is outdoor oriented. He sometimes paints outside and also paints from his photos or from photos given to him or that he had a photographer take.
Mr. Chapman paints with these medias: oil, acrylic, pastel, oil pastel, water color, colored pencils and water color pencils. Sometimes Mr. Chapman paints a picture in mixed media.
Mr. Chapman works with brush, knife, pencils and color sticks.
Mr. Chapman makes or assemble many of his own frames. He also has a woodshop and does some carving. He has made many crafts and hand painted and decorated items.
