Fish Tails and Tales! Lancaster Parks & Recreation

Friday, June 25th 2021

4:30 PM - 5:30 PM

Registration is required for this program.  Appropriate for tweens and teens ages 12-17.  This event may be held outside on the brick patio on the right side of the Library if weather permits, or in the Carlson program room.   Attendees will be given a cloth tote bag or may choose to bring a t-shirt if they prefer to use for this activity.  Please dress in clothes that are appropriate for painting.

Participants will learn about Pennsylvania fish and nature journaling.  This will be followed by making a fish print on paper as we practice the art of Gyotaku, the Japanese method of printing fish.  Participants will also write their own fish tales.  Finally, fish prints will be applied to a canvas bag (or self-provided t-shirt) that attendees may take home, to show off the fish tails.
