This event has been CANCELED. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Join the North Museum for an interactive hour of science! Your body relies on electrical signals to make your heart beat, send messages from your eyes to your brain, to feel, all of your synapses. Learn how a balloon reacts to different materials. How does it become negatively charged. Participants will get to experiment with different materials using a ‘charged’ balloon. Learn the basics of protons, neutrons and electrons. Do opposites attract? Learn the basics of density and have fun with static and your hair. Can our bodies complete a circuit and what’s that called? If time allows, learn about your magnificent heart and do some ‘heart’ math.
For children K-6th Grade (ages 5-11).
