2:00 PM - 3:30 PM

Join us on a six-week journey that explores the common, yet often overwhelming, responses to a significant loss through death. If you are within the first two years of adjusting to the loss of a friend or family member, this group will help you discover strategies to navigate what can be a confusing and painful time of change. Participants in this closed group will gain a better understanding of how grief affects all areas of their lives and will learn coping skills to help adapt to their loss. Each week will include a time of education, resource gathering and sharing. This grief group is offered to the community at no charge and is facilitated by master’s level clinician. Registration is required.

This 6-week grief group will include topics such as:
• Common misconceptions about grief
• Natural grief responses and tips for coping
• Relationships and grief
• Secondary losses and how they impact the grief process
• Knowing the helpful tasks of mourning rather than going by the stages of grief
• How to manage holidays and special days

Registration is required by Wednesday October 5, 2022.

To register, and for more details, please contact Elaine Potts, LCSW at New Hope Counseling Center; 717-786-2802 or supervisor@newhopeministry.info
