STEM Saturday – Solar Energy Car

Saturday, August 10th 2019

10:00 AM - 11:30 AM

The Quarryville Library is offering a new monthly series of STEM activities! STEM, short for Science Technology, Engineering, and Math. STEM-based programming is all about getting kids and families excited about math and the sciences.

Thank you to the Wakefield Lions Club for funding this STEM program!

Students explore the energy provided by the sun. Each student will construct a vehicle that utilizes a solar panel, motor, and other components to power their alternative energy car.

These monthly programs are hands-on, using kits that attendees get to keep at the end!

Best for children ages 8 – 12 years of age.

Limited to 18 participants, so registration is preferred. Walk-ins welcome as class size allows.
