The Quarryville Library is offering a new monthly series of STEM activities! STEM, short for Science Technology, Engineering, and Math. STEM-based programming is all about getting kids and families excited about math and the sciences.
Thank you to the Wakefield Lions Club for funding this STEM program!
Students will build their own weather station to monitor local weather conditions at their home. They will learn the importance of tracking temperature, accumulated rainfall, wind direction and wind speed.
This program is hands-on, using kits that attendees get to keep at the end!
Best for children ages 8 – 12 years of age.
Limited to 16 participants, so registration is preferred. Walk-ins welcome as class size allows.
