Every Tuesday, June 2nd 2020 - August 11th 2020
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
We’re starting a new writing club for tween and teen kids in grades 6 through 12 as a collaboration with the Young Writers’ Program through NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). While much of the program involves writing on your own, you will have access to the national program database to communicate with your instructor and your age group.
Each week in June we’ll have warm up assignments and the option to meet with your group to discuss your project and the assignment.
On July 1, you’ll accept the challenge to write your very own novel! Yes you can do it!
In August we’ll all celebrate our success as a community of writers. We can share our projects to learn how to give and get gentle feedback, and maybe we’ll take the next step and publish it!
Registrants will receive a classroom code to join their age level group (6-8) or (9-12). Parents will be asked to review and sign NaNoWriMo permission forms for youth under age 13.
