Join us for a FREE movie and popcorn in a family friendly atmosphere! All ages welcome – Movies Rated G or PG. This month, we’re watching a movie based on a popular kids’ television show, in which a pack of pony pals must go on an epic journey to defend their homeland from fearsome invaders. Please contact the library at 717-786-1336 for the specific title. Popcorn provided by the library!

Friday, March 2

1 – 3 pm: First Friday Film
Bring your favorite movie snack and join us for a showing on our big screen. This month, we’re watching a film about a young woman’s unusual childhood. Based on an award winning memoir by Jeannette Walls. To find out movie title, please call the library at 717-786-1336.

A club for adults devoted to playing the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game! One meeting per month, first Saturday.

Thirty minutes of fun with a parachute plus silly songs and rhymes will be just what your child needs to get the wiggles out! Bubbles, balls, and other props will ensure that the fun never stops!

10:45 – 11:15 am: Parachute Games
It’s parachute fun for the preschool crowd! Songs, rhymes, and games to keep your preschooler moving, laughing, and having fun! 30 minutes.
(Ages 3-6 years with a caregiver)

Button: Teen Leadership Group5 – 5:30 pm: Teen Leadership Group Meeting
A volunteer initiative for teens! Do you want to make a difference at your library? Consider joining the Teen Leadership Group at the Quarryville Library! This is a group of teens who volunteer to plan, promote, and run teen programming in the library. Come to the meeting and find out what it’s all about!
(For ages 13 – 18.)

5: 30 – 7 pm: Teen Night at the Library
After-hours Teen Night at the Quarryville Library, featuring programs and events planned by the Teen Leadership Group. This month, we’re having an Ugly Fashion Show, with prizes! So come out with your ugliest outfit and see how it compares.

Workshop about Spanish language and Spanish-speaking cultures, taught by Solanco High School AP students and Spanish Honor Society students. Topics: Intro – Map – Holiday – Cultural, Sports, Animals, Food, Colors/numbers, Clothing, Emotions. Additional dates are March 29; April 12 & 19; May 10 & 17. Registration required. 123… Play with Me! is a Parent/Child Workshop for parents and children ages birth to three. Each week offers opportunities for children to play with developmentally appropriate toys in a play group setting and for parents to meet and question community experts in the areas of child development, speech and language, nutrition, play, movement, and music.
(Ages birth to three, with a caregiver. Older siblings welcome!)

5 – 6 pm: Plant the Seed of Learning – The Brain and Literacy
Families will learn about the stages of brain development and how books and toys can be used to stimulate brain growth. Please call 717-786-5619 to make a reservation for this program.
