Sunset Book Club

Tuesday, May 10, 6:30 – 7:30 pm. This month we’ll be discussing A Woman of No Importance: The Untold Story of The American Spy Who Helped Win World War II by Sonia Purnell. Adult program, older teens (16+) are welcome. Click here to register.

Every Wednesday in May from 4:00 – 5:00 pm. Are you interested in crocheting but need some help getting started? Our director, Susan, is leading beginner crocheting lessons! Ages 12+

Cookbook Sale

The Friends of the Library will be selling an assortment of cookbooks, including some featuring local churches and other organizations of interest in our community. The books will be on display in the lobby area of the library May 17th at 11:00 am through May 21st. Stop by the library to browse the shelves and find some new recipes to try!

Afternoon Book Club

Wednesday, May 11, 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Join us for a monthly gathering of book lovers! This month we will be discussing Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult.

Registration is requested so that we may have sufficient copies of the month’s book selection available.

meets weekly at the library on Thursday afternoons from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. This group is open to interested knitters, crocheters, and other crafters of all ages.

Book donations

The Friends of the Library are accepting donations of clean, salable books on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:00 am – 12:30 pm.

The Solanco Food Bank is currently in need of the following items:
  • Juice boxes
  • Cake mix and icing
  • Salad or Canola oil
  • Green beans, corn, and/or mixed vegetables
  • Scalloped or Au Gratin potatoes
  • Boxes of pudding or jello
  • Jello, pudding and applesauce snack packs
  • 4-pack fruit cups
  • Canned peaches-29 oz. can
  • Fruit cocktail-29 oz. can
  • Mayonnaise
  • Pancake mix
  • Syrup
  • Chef Boyardee micro meals
  • Egg noodles
