Tuesday, September 4

10 – 11:30 am: Preschool Meet-Up
A casual, weekly meet-up for parents with preschool-age children! Bring the little ones, gather in our Early Literacy Lab, and play the morning away. A great way to meet other local parents and caregivers and for your child to make new friends.
(Best for children ages 3 – 5 years old and their parents/caregivers. Older and younger siblings welcome!)

10 – 11:30 am: Toddler Meet-Up
A casual meet-up for parents with toddlers! Bring the little ones, gather in our Early Literacy Lab, and play the morning away. A great way to meet other local parents and caregivers and for your toddler to make new friends.

Thursday, September 6

4:15 – 5:30 pm: Junior Master Gardener Club Meeting
If you and your child are interested in gardening, check out our new Junior Master Gardener Club! We plan to learn about gardening and cultivating various types of plants, including vegetables and flowers.
(Best for children ages 6 – 12 and a caregiver.)

6 pm: Family Movie Night – New Time!
Join us for a FREE movie and popcorn in a family friendly atmosphere! All ages welcome – Movies Rated G or PG. This month, we’re watching a film about a prehistoric soccer game. Please contact the library at 717-786-1336 for the specific title. Popcorn provided by the library!

Friday, September 7

10:30 – 11 am: Story Time with Hank: Nutrition
Join us for this special Wee Readers Family Story Time, featuring special guest, Hank the Health Hero!
What happens if you give Hank a box of cookies? Is a cookie a healthy snack? Join us for Story Time with Hank the Health Hero and find out! The lovable puppet Hank and his friend will be reading a special book all about healthy habits. After the story, you get to make a craft to take home. Hope to see you there! Presented by CHI St. Joseph Children’s Health.
(Ages 0-7 years with a caregiver.)

5:30 – 7:30 pm: Teen Anime Club – Canceled
Both of the September meetings of the Teen Anime Club are canceled. We’ll see you in October!

5 – 5:30 pm: Teen Leadership Group Meeting
A volunteer initiative for teens! Do you want to make a difference at your library? Consider joining the Teen Leadership Group at the Quarryville Library! This is a group of teens who volunteer to plan, promote, and run programs and activities for kids and teens in the library. They also help us choose what items to buy for the library. Come to the meeting and find out what it’s all about!
(For ages 13 – 18.)

6 pm: Ready, Set, Play to Learn! Motor Skills Workshop
Local physical therapy professional teaches workshop devoted to young children’s motor development (balance, posture, dexterity & more). The workshop will also cover things you can do in your everyday routine to develop these important skills.

Thirty minutes of fun with a parachute plus silly songs and rhymes will be just what your child needs to get the wiggles out! Bubbles, balls, and other props will ensure that the fun never stops!

10:45 – 11:15 am: Parachute Games
It’s parachute fun for the preschool crowd! Songs, rhymes, and games to keep your preschooler moving, laughing, and having fun! 30 minutes.
(Ages 3-6 years with a caregiver)
