Our server will be available soon! We’re gathering data to inform our age group sessions so we can allocate moderator time. If you are interested, please fill out the form below and we will contact you when we are ready to open programs for registration.!
What is Minecraft? It’s one of the world’s most popular ‘sandbox’ games. That means there are no rules about how to play the game – you decide what you’ll build, grow, craft. Game play involves players interacting with the game world by placing and breaking various types of blocks in a three-dimensional environment. In this environment, players can build creative structures, creations, and artwork across multiple game modes.
What is Quarryville’s Minecraft Club? We’re hosting a Minecraft “Realms” server, which allows us to run programs of 10 players at a time. At this time our staff availability permits us to run 3-4 sessions per week. We will base the number of age group sessions and game mode settings (Creative, Survival, Adventure, Spectator, and possibly a few mini-games) on the responses from these applications, and we’ll continue soliciting feedback to see what we can do to make the club even better. Each session date will require an individual sign up, to give everyone a fair chance at participation.
You will need:
- A copy of Minecraft (consistent with the version we purchase – there are two platforms and licenses will only work on matching server platforms)
- A LSLC library card (the bar code on your library card…starts with 20339)
- Knowledge of how to play (we can’t do tutorials through the cloud…once we reopen we may be able to offer more newbie support!)
We are exploring new sessions designed for kids (7-12), teens (13-17) and even adults (18+). Community behavior guidelines are age-specific, and you will be asked to agree when you register to adhere to these guidelines to continue participating in the Library’s server.
