Join our Summer Reading program!

We have a reading program for adults again this year! Stop by the library to pick up your “Bookopoly” game, and complete at least 6 unique spaces by August 10 to finish the program. For every additional 3 spaces completed, you get an extra chance to win a Longwood Gardens Family Pass!

Adventures in our National Parks

Thursday, July 11, 6:00 – 7:00 pm. Join Keith Greenawalt to discover national treasures and historic sites within a day’s journey, as well as other federal recreation lands not too far away. For adults and older teens. Click here to register.

Wednesday, July 24, 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Spend relaxing time making crafts and socializing! Bring your own materials and see what others are making, learn from each other, and enjoy casual conversation. For adults and older teens. Click here to register.

The Friends of the Library are looking for help as they support the library by holding book sales and an annual holiday cookie and gift sale, operating the bookstore, running food services during Go-Fore Golf, and more. Any time you can offer is greatly appreciated! Click here for more information.

Visit our bookstore!

Operated by the Friends of the Library, our used bookstore strives to provide recent bestsellers as well as high-interest items for children and adults. This month we are featuring “Christmas in July” books.

Looking for a way to help the community? Solanco Neighborhood Ministries is currently in need of the following items:
  • Soup (canned)
  • Macaroni and cheese (boxed)
  • Mayonnaise
  • Cereal
  • Granola bars
  • Pudding cups
  • Fruit cups
  • Potato chips or pretzels (family-size bag)
  • Diapers (sizes: 5,6, and pull-ups)
  • Baby wipes

Donations may be dropped off Monday through Thursday from 9 am – 4 pm and Friday from 9 am – 12 pm. Non-perishable donations may also be dropped off at the library.
