Who are the Friends of the library?
The Friends of the Quarryville Library is a non-profit organization of community-minded library lovers who conduct fundraising events to support the library’s needs for materials, equipment and programs by volunteering their time for projects, activities and events. Like you, they appreciate the value of a fine public library and work to improve the quality and scope of library services so others can enjoy the same privileges. And again like you, they are committed to encouraging the love of the written word and alleviating illiteracy.
Here is more info on the Friends and how to join.
When do the Friends meet?
The Friends meet in the C.X. Carlson room at the Quarryville Library on the second Tuesday of the month at 10:00 a.m. Meetings are open to everyone and are usually fun and informal. We are a warm, welcoming group!
Become a Friend today!
Enjoy that good feeling that comes with knowing you have added value to your community and enriched the lives of your neighbors. Your active participation will help keep in motion the programs already established, as well as speed your Library toward goals not yet reached. Friends enjoy the camaraderie of working together and sharing common goals – to help the Quarryville Library and to spread the word about the importance of the public library to the vitality and welfare of the community.
The Friends Schedule of Events can be found on our Fundraising Page.
