In addition to providing an antidote to boredom, board games offer lots of educational benefits! You can check out a wide variety of classic games using your library card!
PRESCHOOL – EARLY ELEMENTARY
Concept bags for young readers – contains a combination of books related to a topic. Some topics are academic, others deal with a child’s social and emotional needs. Several bags also offer games or other activities that connect to the topic. Please check these items in and out of Quarryville Library – no interlibrary loans permitted.

Bookflix is a versatile resource from Scholastic, offering themed units ready to show your class along with supplementary activities. Some books are available in Spanish, too.
Pre-K through Middle School
Tumble Books is a fun and interactive library of animated, talking story books for preschoolers, beginner readers and older independent readers in upper elementary grades. Read along and listen, or read on your own. TumbleBooks are created by taking existing story books, adding animation, sound, music and narration to produce an electronic (e-book) story book. TumbleBooks will help teach kids the joy of reading in a format they’ll love! PA Power Library, Available in multiple languages.
STEM kits and other learning stations for small groups or individual children – we have a wide variety of materials to explore. Use our kits to augment your unit and give your students hands-on practice with concepts!
Welcome to TrueFlix™, the only online resource that leverages the award-winning True Books content to help students hone literacy skills, build knowledge of subject-area content, and cultivate 21st Century Skills through the inquiry process. All of the True Book titles are supported with a deep and diverse reservoir of related content and primary sources featuring videos, audio, images, and text. Found in PA Power Library resources.
MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL
Ask our Youth Services Coordinator to schedule a Digital Literacy tutorial for your classroom or homeschool group (grades 4-12) through Zoom! Email Sharon at sroche@quarryvillelibrary.org.
Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories’ student shadowing program allows middle/high school and college students to shadow an employee for a day. Free.
