Heroes of Early Flight

Fridays at 1:00 pm, starting January 3. Dr. Robert Frick, historian and presenter, will offer a six-week slide series discussing famous aviators in history. Participants should prepare for lively presentations filled with interesting facts and peppered with humor. Click here to register.

Tuesday, January 7, 2:00 – 3:00 pm. Join us for a lively conversation about death and dying! This is a safe space free of judgement to share views with no agenda or goals. Please note: this is not a grief support event. For ages 18+. Click here to register.

Winter Sowing

Tuesday, January 14, 6:00 – 7:00 pm. Beat the winter doldrums and get your hands in the dirt! Attendees will plant a jug with seeds to take home to start them on this wintertime adventure. For adults and interested older children. Click here to register.

Crafts & Conversation

Wednesday, January 15, 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Spend relaxing time making crafts and socializing! Bring your own materials and see what others are making, learn from each other, and enjoy casual conversation. For adults and older teens. Click here to register.

Tech Help with Bella

Tuesdays from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Do you need help with technology? Drop in on Tuesday afternoons to get assistance from Bella, a local young adult in our community who has offered her time and talent. Click here to register.

The Friends of the Library are looking for help as they support the library by holding book sales and an annual holiday cookie and gift sale, operating the bookstore, running food services during Go-Fore Golf, and more. Holiday Drive

We are currently collecting like-new or handmade hats, mittens, gloves, and scarves! All donated items will be given to Solanco Neighborhood Ministries.

Looking for a way to help the community? Solanco Neighborhood Ministries is currently in need of the following items:
  • Tomato soup (10 oz. can)
  • Chicken noodle soup (10 oz. can)
  • Peanut butter
  • Mayonnaise
  • Spam (and other canned meats)
  • Diced tomatoes (15 oz. can)
  • Baked beans/pork and beans (canned)
  • Triscuits/Wheat Thins
  • Pudding cups
  • Applesauce cups
  • Diapers (sizes 5 & 6)
  • Baby wipes

Donations may be dropped off Monday through Thursday from 9 am – 4 pm and Friday from 9 am – 12 pm. Non-perishable donations may also be dropped off at the library.
