Go-Fore Golf

Saturday, February 15, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. All ages (and golfing abilities) are invited to come out of the cold and play a unique round of miniature golf through the stacks of the library! Click here for more information or to register. Please note that the library will not be open for normal business during this event.

Afternoon Book Club

Wednesday, February 12, 2:00 – 3:00 pm. Join us for a monthly gathering of book lovers! This month we’ll be discussing books on autism by Temple Grandin. Click here to register.

Crafts & Conversation

Wednesday, February 19, 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Spend relaxing time making crafts and socializing! Bring your own materials and see what others are making, learn from each other, and enjoy casual conversation. For adults and older teens. Click here to register.

Nature’s Candy

Wednesday, February 19, 6:00 – 7:00 pm. Learn how to identify maple trees, some of the history of sugaring, and how to do it locally. Participants will also be given a sample of maple candy to try! For all ages. Click here to register.

Thursday, February 20, 6:00 – 7:00 pm. We welcome back Quiz Bowl veteran Phil Gruber as he challenges how much we know! Participate individually or as a team of up to four people. We’ll also have prizes! For adults and older teens. Click here to register.

Saturday, February 22, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Members of the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will share stories, activities, historical clips, and more. For all ages. Click here to register.

Thursday, February 27, 6:00 – 7:00 pm. Join staff from the Railroad Museum of PA to learn about four historic railroad jobs, along with primary source photos and artifacts. For adults and interested older youth. Click here to register.

Tech Help with Bella

Tuesdays from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Do you need help with technology? Drop in on Tuesday afternoons to get assistance from Bella, a local young adult in our community who has offered her time and talent. Click here to register.

The Friends of the Library are looking for help as they support the library by holding book sales and an annual holiday cookie and gift sale, operating the bookstore, running food services during Go-Fore Golf, and more. Any time you can offer is greatly appreciated! Click here for more information.


Book donations

The Friends of the Library are not currently accepting book donations. Donation drop-off times will resume in March. Thank you for your understanding!

Winter Drive

We are currently collecting like-new or handmade hats, mittens, gloves, and scarves! All donated items will be given to Solanco Neighborhood Ministries.

Looking for a way to help the community? Solanco Neighborhood Ministries is currently in need of the following items:
  • Canned pineapple
  • Chicken noodle soup (10 oz.)
  • Tomato soup (10 oz.)
  • Mayonnaise
  • SPAM and other canned meats
  • Pudding cups
  • Applesauce cups
  • Fruit cups
  • Microwave popcorn
  • Granola bars
Donations may be dropped off Monday through Thursday from 9 am – 4 pm and Friday from 9 am – 12 pm. Non-perishable donations may also be dropped off at the library.
