Registration is required for most of our youth programs except where noted. Registration opens for each month on the 15th of the previous month. Programs with insufficient registrants will be canceled; please monitor your email for updates.

Go-Fore Golf will be held on Saturday, February 15 from
9 am to 3 pm. We’ll have fun for the whole family: play miniature golf through the bookshelves, enjoy delicious food prepared by the Friends of the Library, and even get your face painted or a balloon animal! All proceeds benefit the library.


 

Family Movie Night

February 6 at 6 pm. For all ages. Join us for a FREE movie and snacks! This month’s movie is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. Registration requested.


Valentine’s Swap

February 13 at 10:30 am. Ages 2-6 with parent or caregiver. A time for all of our library friends to celebrate our friendships and love of the library with stories, crafts, and swapping valentines! Registration required.


 

Nature’s Candy: Maple Sugaring

February 19 at 6 pm. For all ages. A Lancaster County Park Naturalist will teach us about everything you need to know about maple syrup! Learn how to identify maple trees, some of the history of sugaring, and how to do it locally. Participants will also be given a sample of syrup cooked longer than usual (candy) to try! Registration required.


 

Trivia Night

February 20 at 6 pm. For adults and older teens. Enjoy a night of trivia at the library! Participate individually or as a team. Maximum 4 people per team. We’ll also have prizes. Please consider bringing a snack to share! Registration required.


 

DAR in Your Community

February 22 at 10 am. All ages. The local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is offering a fun and educational event for our community that is free to all! Hear their stories, learn how to find your own family patriots, view historical clips, and more! Registration requested.


 

Paper Bag Princess Storytime

February 26 at 10:30 am. Ages 2-6 with parent or caregiver. Come celebrate Paper Bag Princess Day at the library! This year’s theme, BE YOUR OWN HERO, highlights Elizabeth’s courage and self-reliance as she outwits the dragon and proves she doesn’t need a prince to save her. Registration required.


Workin’ on the Railroad

February 27 at 6 pm. For adults and older teens. Join the outreach staff from the Railroad Museum of PA who will offer a lecture and Q&A about four historic railroad jobs, along with primary source photos and artifacts. Registration requested.


Mini Chef Creations

February 28 at 10:30 am. Ages 2-6 with parent or caregiver. Charlotte Scheid, GIANT Food Stores Nutritionist, returns to Quarryville Library for a special preschool cooking event! These classes provide children with basic skills needed to create a balanced snack. Registration required.


 

Winter Reading Challenge

There’s still time to complete the winter reading challenge! Pick up your bingo board, complete the squares to make “bingo,” then fill out your information and bring it back to receive a raffle ticket to use in the prize room during Go-Fore Golf! The challenge ends Friday, February 14 2025.


 

100 Books Before Graduation

We’re partnering with Solanco High School Library for a new teen reading challenge: read 100 books before you graduate high school! Visit our website, Solanco High School Library, or ask at the front desk for more details.

Tuesday: 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
Wednesday: 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
Thursday: 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
Friday: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Saturday: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

The library will be closed Saturday, February 15th for the Go-Fore Golf Fundraiser! Regular services, computers, and passports will not be available.
