Walking Book Club

Monday, March 25, 10:00 – 11:00 am. Join us on the Enola Trail as we combine the pleasures of reading, exercise, and companionship! For this session, we will discuss this year’s Longwood Garden’s Community Read book: The Last Garden in England by Julia Kelly. We Grow Together

Thursday, March 21, 6:00 – 7:00 pm. Garden planners can benefit from our local Parks Department naturalist, who will share best practices for companion planting in the gardens in our growing zone. Looking for a way to help the community? Solanco Neighborhood Ministries is currently in need of the following items:
Easter Bag Needs:
  • Ham/ham slices or Giant gift card
  • Canned green beans (2)
  • 20 oz. can of pineapple (1)
  • 1lb. bag of long carrots (1)
  • 5 lb. bag of fresh potatoes (1)
  • Yellow or white cake mix (1)
  • Container of vanilla frosting (1)
  • Dozen eggs (1)
  • 1 lb. box of butter/margarine (1)
  • Bag of jelly beans (1)
  • Bag of shredded coconut (1)

Please drop off Easter items by March 22 (fresh produce not before March 18).

Food Bank Needs:

  • Triscuits/Wheat Thins
  • Cheerios (regular, yellow box)
  • Oatmeal (boxes of individual packs)
  • Mayonnaise
  • Pudding cups
  • Applesauce cups
  • Juice boxes
  • Chef Boyardee micro meals
  • Baby wipes
  • Diapers (sizes: 5, 6, and pull-ups)
Donations may be dropped off Monday through Thursday from 9 am – 4 pm and Friday from 9 am – 12 pm.
