History Author Faire

Friday, November 22, 4:00 – 6:00 pm. Discover local authors of history and historical fiction. If you are a fan of days gone by, you might find some great books to add to your collection or a perfect holiday gift for a history buff! For adults, older children and teens. Registration is requested.

The Friends of the Library are looking for help as they support the library by holding book sales and an annual holiday cookie and gift sale, operating the bookstore, running food services during Go-Fore Golf, and more. Any time you can offer is greatly appreciated! Click here for more information.

Looking for a way to help the community? Solanco Neighborhood Ministries is currently in need of the following items:
Thanksgiving meals requests:

  • Turkey or gift card to Giant
  • Stuffing mix
  • Canned yams
  • Gravy packets or a jar of turkey gravy
  • Green beans (canned)
  • Cream of mushroom soup
  • Cranberry sauce (canned)
  • Yellow cake mix (box)
  • Pumpkin puree (30 oz.)
  • Evaporated milk (16 oz.)

Thanksgiving items are needed by Friday, November 15th.

Food bank requests:
  • Triscuits or Wheat Thin crackers
  • Canned soup (all kinds)
  • Diapers (sizes: 4, 5 & 6)
  • Baby wipes
Donations may be dropped off Monday through Thursday from 9 am – 4 pm and Friday from 9 am – 12 pm. Non-perishable donations may also be dropped off at the library.
