Celebrate the International Hour of Code with us by completing an hour of code at the library! Use one of our laptops or bring your own tech! Ages 7+. Please register as space is limited.
Join us for a special holiday-themed movie night! We’ll have special snacks as we watch this beloved PG rated movie. Registration is not required but preferred so we have sufficient snacks!

Ages 5-12. Registration is required. Best for beginners, but we’ll have something for most robot fans!
Please let us know when registering if you are an accompanying adult who might be able to help during the event (i.e., your child would be responsible without you beside them).
For ages 3+ with parent or caregiver. Space is limited, please register – two sessions available.
Celebrate the season in sweet style by decorating your very own “gingerbread” house! We’ll provide all the materials you’ll need to build your house (walls and glue), but we ask that each family bring a bag of decorating treats that can be shared with others (ex: a bag of candies, sprinkles, etc).

Join us as we welcome Mrs. Claus (and a mystery guest) for an evening of stories, songs, crafts and fun! Photo opportunities and face painting will be available during the event.Mrs. Claus is gathering donations of cat toys, food and litter for her own Christmas deliveries. Our library will have a donation box out during the month of December and we thank you for your generosity!
Scissors School! Registration is required. Ages 3-6 with caregiver.
One of the most frequently cited skill gaps cited by teachers for young children entering kindergarten is using scissors. We have a fun way to show caregivers how to move through the stages of learning this skill, which will build confidence in your child upon school entry.
Ages 3-8 with caregiver. Registration is requested.
Block Party is an hour long free play session for preschoolers and their caregivers using our library’s wooden block set, people, vehicles, animals and other accompanying materials where preschoolers have the freedom to build and play as they wish.
Our current Storywalk® is Eating the Alphabet by Lois Ehlert. This is an outstanding alphabet book showcasing 75 fruits and vegetables, which include the familiar as well as plenty that are mildly exotic (kumquat, radicchio). Just in time for your special holiday meals! We will award several copies of the book to families who submit a brochure letting us know you walked the path.

Teens who are seeking employment can get help finding internships through PA CareerLink, and learning digital literacy skills through our partnership with Millersville University.
