Bulletin Board Policy

As an informational and cultural institution, the Library welcomes the community to post informational materials on free community events, government notices, nonprofit services and events, or personal notices (such as lost and found) on the entryway bulletin board. Bulletin board display space is available on an equitable basis, regardless of the beliefs or affiliations of individuals or groups requesting this service. Distribution or posting of materials does not indicate the library’s endorsement of the information, events, or organizations listed.

All postings must be approved by the library director or appointed designee(s). Unapproved materials or materials posted without approval will be disposed of at the library’s discretion. Materials should not exceed 8.5” x 11” in size and may be dropped off at the circulation desk for approval. Once approved, the material will be stamped and dated. Postings may remain depending upon space constraints, for a maximum of 4 weeks, or will be removed once the event has expired.

Commercial advertising or advertising for personal gain, campaign or political literature, and legal notices are not permitted.
