Passports are available by appointment only.
Please call the library at (717) 786-1336 for information regarding acquiring an appointment to apply for your passport.
Each person applying for a passport must be present when applying. Children 15 and under need both parents to be present with acceptable identification, such as valid driver’s licenses. Teens ages 16 and 17 must have proof of parental consent or one parent present at the time of application. Evidence of parental relationship for a minor is not established through a previous passport. A certified U.S. or foreign birth certificate with parents’ names will need to be submitted. Other acceptable documentation would be a Report of Birth abroad with both parents’ names, a certified adoption decree with adopting parents’ names, or a certified court order establishing custody or guardianship.
Please note that passport processing times vary. Allow 4-6 weeks for regular processing. You may expedite your application for an additional $60 per application plus 2 way Express Mail fees (Express mailing is optional). Expedited processing may take 2-3 weeks. Processing times do not include mailing time.
