Registration is required for most of our youth programs except where noted. Registration opens for each month on the 15th of the previous one. Programs with insufficient registrants will be canceled; please monitor your email for updates.
Registration is open NOW and spaces are going fast for our favorite mini-golf fundraiser happening on Saturday, February 10! We still have sponsorships available for local businesses (families may also sponsor and decorate a hole), so it’s not too late to put your name on the course! Contact Sharon at sroche@quarryvillelibrary.org for a pledge form.
Reminder that on February 10, the library will be CLOSED except for this event. There will be no computers available, no passport appointments, and no books may be checked out or renewed all day. Thank you for understanding.
Lisa Sanchez, Senior Park Naturalist with the Lancaster County Dept. of Parks and Recreation, will teach us everything we need to know about maple syrup! Learn how to identify maple trees, some of the history of sugaring, and how to do it locally. Participants will also be given a sample of syrup cooked longer than usual (candy) to try! Please register all attendees! Appropriate for all ages.
February 13 at 1:00 pm. A time for all of our library friends to celebrate our friendships with stories, snacks, crafts, and swapping valentines! Registration will close a few days early so that we can notify everyone of how many valentines to bring. If you are unable to purchase or create valentines but would like to participate, please email Ms. Sarah. Forages 1-6 with caregiver.
Calling all princes, princesses, and dragons! You are cordially invited to our storytime, where we’ll read “The Paper Bag Princess” by Robert Munsch and do fun crafts and activities. Make the day extra special by coming dressed up in your favorite costume or create your own using paper bags!
February 6, 1:00 – 3:00 pm.
Come and enjoy activities that are set up for caregivers to play with their children with suggestions for enriching the literacy experience. This session will look at the concept of transportation. Ages 2-8 with caregiver. Registration is requested, drop-ins welcome as space allows.
Our current Storywalk® is The Belonging Tree by Maryann Cocca-Leffler. This is a thoughtful picture book about respect, inclusion, and acceptance in a woodland community of animals. We will award several copies of the book to families who submit a brochure letting us know you walked the path.
